About Diana Padwick Artist
Experience
A life-long artist, I graduating art school and worked as a Graphic Design in London(back in the day). When raising a family I used my skills to decorate home, garden and creating clothing for the growing family. Developing my ability to mend, repair and remake I opened a repair business until my retirement.
Now I'm focused on creating Art from the flotsam and jetsam of life.
Style
My work is influenced by the natural processes of aging, decay and the damage our throwaway society is causing. I strive to create pieces full of stories, histories and life that are visually and emotionally impactful.
Process
I allow discarded materials and my instincts to guide me as I work. Using rust and plant dyes to enhance the process. I further layer materials using embroidery stitches. I believe that the process of creating art should be just as fulfilling as the finished piece.
